International Committee. It has to be explained that the Chinese had decided that they didn't want WARR in Qingdao, just two weeks before, following riots related to territorial issues in the South China Sea. The International Committee decided that they would not accept a cancellation at such a late stage hence the event was continued with - albeit with cuts and alterations. Most of those who went experienced fellow WARRiors working together to make this a great and memorable WARR. |

| Course: | We were escorted to a nice location for a run on the far outskirts of the city - perhaps an hours drive from the centre. It was a newly created scenic lake. There were basic facilities which we shared with the large number of police who had been our escort. It wasn't clear whether the escort was to keep us protected from the locals or to protect the locals from our influence. |

2 laps of the "5k" course, just under 8k in length. The two races were run simultaneously on the same course. Which added to the confusion of the results. | ||
