Getting to the Party, and getting back to bed afterwards

The party venue lies thirty minutes away from the core festival site but is also on the way back from a day out in London.

 

If you are coming from the Royal Victoria Dock area then you will take the first west bound train to Tower Gateway and then follow the scenic walk close to views of Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, the old Roman Wall, the 'Gherkin' and the 'inside out' Lloyds Building.  The walk is about 1k so allow ten to fifteen minutes.

 

If you are coming from central London then you will have the shorter 500m walk from Monument or Bank stations.

 

The Festival Guide, given to you at Registration, will contain a detailed map showing you how to get to the Market.  Registration closes on the Friday before the T Shirt Party ends so you will need to have completed your registration before going to the T Shirt Party.  However because this year the 10k race will have a relatively late start of 11:00 attendees will be able to get their fill of the T Shirt Party and have a good meal before travelling back to their hotels and having a good night's rest before the races.

 

In either case the narrow and twisting streets and alleys around this area can be confusing so follow the map carefully - although if you do find a different way you may come across a hidden gem of old or new London!
